The X International Symposium on Biological Control of Weeds will be held in Bozeman, Montana, USA from 4-9 July, 1999.
This symposium is the next in a series of premier world meetings of scientists interested in the biological control of weeds. The symposia are held approximately every four years and cover all aspects of the theory and practice of biological weed control. Previous meetings were held in South Africa in 1996 and New Zealand in 1992.
Bozeman is the home of Montana State University-Bozeman (MSU-Bozeman), situated among the picturesque Rocky Mountains near scenic areas for hiking, fishing and whitewater rafting.
This meeting is co-sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture/Agricultural Research Service (USDA/ARS) and MSU-Bozeman. Conference facilities and accommodations for the Symposium will be on the campus of MSU-Bozeman. Although alternate accommodations are available, delegates are encouraged to use university residences to enhance interactions among symposium participants.

Delegates from countries that have been underrepresented at these symposia in the past can apply to the conference organizers to waive certain expenses.
