Submission Instructions
There are certain rules and limitations when submitting documents via the web. One limitation which is crucial to scientific documents is the inability to italicize, underline, or super/subscript. You will soon see, for example, that when you take your nicely formatted Microsoft Word document and cut and paste it into the text box on the abstract submission form, all formatting is lost. (italics, bold, underlining, subscript2, etc...)
Special note: You can use single quotes...but you can not use double quotes. If you use double quotes, your abstract will look fine on the review page, but when submitted, any text after the double quotes will get dropped.
We have devised a method that makes formatting possible. Check out the links below for instructions and examples.
Each of the following links will open up a new browser window so you can reference them during the abstract submission process.
Please Note:
- Body Text of the abstract is limited to 300 words or less.
- You can not use double quotes.
- When entering information into the "Author(s) Block" section, be sure to:
- Include all authors here, and put them in the order they should be printed. - Include the addresses for all authors. If there is more than one author and more than one address, please use superscripts (via special code) to designate which address goes with which author. (Click here for an example) - Underline the presenting author. (via special code)
