There are certain rules and limitations when submitting documents via the web. One limitation which is crucial to scientific documents is the inability to italicize, underline, or super/subscript. You will soon see, for example, that when you take your nicely formatted Microsoft Word document and cut and paste it into the text box on the abstract submission form, all formatting is lost. (italics, bold, underlining, subscript2, etc...)

Special note: You can use single quotes...but you can not use double quotes. If you use double quotes, your abstract will look fine on the review page, but when submitted, any text after the double quotes will get dropped.

We have devised a method that makes formatting possible. Check out the links below for instructions and examples.

Each of the following links will open up a new browser window so you can reference them during the abstract submission process.
  • Click here for instructions on using special fonts and codes.
  • Click here for an example that uses special fonts and codes.
  • Click here to learn how to send us a picture to accompany your abstract.

Please Note:

- Include all authors here, and put them in the order they should be printed.
- Include the addresses for all authors. If there is more than one author and more than one address, please use superscripts (via special code) to designate which address goes with which author. (Click here for an example)
- Underline the presenting author. (via special code)
